Homemade Bosnian strudel

Sweet dish that can be prepared by an Average cook.

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • yeast
  • milk
  • butter / margarine
  • sugar
  • flour
  • jam

Preparation:

First in half a cup of warm water, we add yeast and let it rest between 5 and 10 minutes. Then in a bigger bowl we mix it together with half a cup of milk, half a cup of water, two eggs, one eggwhite and two spoons of sugar. Then mix all of that together. After, add 50 grams of melted butter or margarine and keep adding flour and mixing to make the dough. Leave the dough to rise. Once the dough is ready, knead it again, and leave to rise once more. Then you need to roll the dough, spread jam or nutella all over it, then roll it in strudel and leave to rest for around 10 minutes. For the end, brush one egg yolk over the strudel before baking it in preheated oven.
