Hajji ćevapčić

Salty dish that can be prepared by an Average cook.

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams of veal
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 80g mushrooms
  • 20g butter
  • parsley
  • salt
  • oil
  • black pepper

Preparation:

Blanch the tomatoes (to blanch means to cut a little cross on top of the tomato, then just leave for a bit in boiling water and then it's easier to peal it) and cut it in stripes, cut the carrots, peppers, mushrooms, onion and veal as well. In a pan, heat up butter and oil, and fry the veal pieces. When the meat is fried, take it out and leave in a bowl and then fry on that fat, your onion and carrots, season it, and then add the rest of the veggies bit by bit to fry them too. When it's all ready, add back the veal, add parsley and black pepper and fry everything together for additional two to three minutes. Then lay baking paper in a bowl, and pour in all the fried ingredients, wrap it and tie with baking string. Lay all the bags on a baking tray, pour a bit of water and put in preheated oven to bake for around 30 minutes. Then take it out and serve.
