Germusa

Sweet dish that can be prepared by an Average cook.

Ingredients:

  • 2 small cups of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 small cups of oil
  • 2 small cups of water
  • 2 small cups of sugar
  • 1 spoon of yeast
  • 200gr. ground walnuts
  • flour as needed
  • For hot syrup:
  • 4 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of water

Preparation:

Get two small cups of milk to room temperature and then add to it one spoon of yeas. Leave it for about 15 minutes. Then add 2 eggs to the milk and mix it, then add 2 small cups of water, 2 small cups of sunflower oil, 2 small cups of sugar and mix all that. While mixing keep adding flour until it turns into doughy texture. Split the dough in half, knead it and make it into not thick, not thin pastry, put walnuts over it and roll it. Then cut pieces approximately 1cm wide and put them in an oiled tray. Leave for around thirty minutes and then bake it in a pre-heated oven. When it's done, pour hot syrup over it.
